  1. Instructions for Royal Paint(v1.32):

  3. Royal Paint is sharewareprogram. You can send money and

  14. Choosing objects
  15.  
  16. -If you want to choose some option, move the arrow to above 
  17.  option and press left mouse button. If you want choose different
  18.  colour or brush then act same way.
  19.  
  20. -If you want to get in drawing scene then choose some drawing 
  21.  option ( Erase, Draw, Point, Rays, Box, Pbox, Rbox, Prbox, 
  22.  Circle, Pcircle, Ellipse, Pellipse, Spray, Fill, Line, K-Line, 
  23.  Plot, Mark) and you can start drawing. You get in drawing scene
  24.  also by choosing Text or Carve option.

  27. Draw
  28.  
  29. -When you have chosen Draw option, you are in the drawing scene. 
  30.  You can draw by pressing left button. You can also use 16 
  31.  different brush with Draw option. You get back to menu by
  32.  pressing right button.

  35. Erase 
  36.  
  37. -By Erase option you can withdraw areas by pressing left button. 
  38.  You get back to menu by pressing right button.

  41. Point

  43. -Works same way as Draw, but puts only one point per time.

  46. Rays
  47.  
  48. -Rays is rayline. Left button puts first the line starting point.
  49.  Then you can freely move the line. Left button puts line in place
  50.  you want. If starting point is in bad place, then just press 
  51.  right button and you are free choose starting point again. 
  52.  If the starting point is not placed then by pressing right button 
  53.  you can get back to menu.

  56. Line

  58. -Works same as way Rays, but draws only one line per time and frees 
  59.  starting point after drawing the line.

  62. K-line

  64. -K-Line is continual line and it works same way as Rays and Line.
  65.  When the line has drawed the ending point changes to starting 
  66.  point of the new line.

  69. Box

  71. -By pressing left mousebutton you can put corner point. Then you 
  72.  can freely move the box. Left button places the box. 
  73.  If corner point is in bad place, then just press 
  74.  right button and you are free to choose corner point again. 
  75.  If the corner point is not placed then by pressing right button 
  76.  you can get back to menu.

  79. Pbox

  81. -Same as Box, but filled in colour and pattern you have chosen.

  96. -By pressing left mousebutton you can put edge point . Then you 
  97.  can freely move the circle. Left button places the circle.

  99.  and you are free to choose edge point again. If the edge point
  100.  is not placed then by pressing right button you can get back to 
  101.  menu.

  106. -Same as Circle, but filled

  109. Ellipse

  111. -Works same way as Circle.

  116. -Same as Ellipse, but filled

  119. Using pie mode with Circle, Pcircle, Ellipse and Pellipse options

  121. -In menu move the cursor above the Circle, Pcircle, Ellipse or 
  122.  Pellipse option place and press right button and you can set, is
  123.  the pie mode on or off.
  124. -If pie mode is on then you act like normaly, when you are 
  125.  drawing with circle, pcircle, ellipse options. When you have 
  126.  placed circle, then you can set circles first angle by moving
  127.  mouse around and around. You press left button and you can set
  128.  second angle. Now if you press left button then, you can place
  129.  the circle.

  133. Spray

  135. -You can spray by pressing left button. You get back to menu by
  136.  pressing right button. 16 different brushes are available.
  137.  Plots are also avaible.

  140. Set Spray
  141.  
  142.  In menu move the cursor above the Spray option and press right 
  143.  button and you can set Spray.

  145. Setting Spray speed and size
  146.  
  147. -0 is fast and 25 very slow. 2 is
  148.  small spray and 150 extra large. 
  149. -You can also set spray visually in drawing screen. It works
  150.  same way as circle. Circles diameter is same as spray size.

  152. Setting Spray mode
  153.  
  154. -You can also set spray mode. If spray is in Cycle mode, you
  155.  can spray normaly and use cycle option with spray option. 
  156. -If spray is in Palette mode then, you can spray with colours
  157.  you had setted in set spray option. 
  158. -If spray is in Brush mode then, you can spray with 16 different
  159.  brush.
  160. -If spray is in Plot mode then, you can spray with plot like in
  161.  plot option. You can set also plot size((40) see set plot.)
  162. -If spray is in Carve mode, you can`t use any other modes. 
  163.  You can grap area from screen, like in carve option and spray with
  164.  area.

  166. Setting Spray colours
  167.  
  168. -You can set palette mode colours in bottom of screen. You
  169.  can set all 16 colurs and there speed (0-10). if colour value
  170.  is 0, then colour is off. If value is 1 the option sprays a 
  171.  little this colour. But if value is 10 there comes a lots of
  172.  colour. For example if red colours value is 10 and blue colours 
  173.  value is 2 then the Spray option sprays lots of red colour and a
  174.  little blue colour.

  176. Saving and loading spray settings
  177. -You can save and load spray settings with Save and Load
  178. -Don`t try to load any other files than Royal Paint spray
  179.  files.

  181. Setting Spray shape 
  182. -You can set spray shape by pressing left button upon boxes in
  183.  right of spray menu. 
  184. -You can for example set spray, which is otherwise normal, but 
  185.  one corner is missing

  188. Fill
  189.  
  190. -By pressing left button Fill option fills places in color and
  191.  pattern(37) you have chosen. Right button returns you back to menu.

  194. Plot

  196. -Plot option is very much like Draw option, but in Plot option 
  197.  you can draw with circle "ball". And you can set circles sizes 
  198.  from little point to quite large circle.

  201. Set Plot

  203. -In menu move the cursor above the Plot option and press right
  204.  button and you can set Plot . 1 is point and 40 is circle, which
  205.  diameter is 40 points.

  208. Mark

  210. -You can draw with Mark-option by pressing left button. You get 
  211.  back to menu by pressing right button. Cycle option is also 
  212.  available with Mark.

  215. Set Mark
  216.  
  217. -In menu move the cursor above the Mark option and press right
  218.  button and you can set Mark. You can set different sizes to 
  219.  Mark and also set what is Mark like. You can set is Mark 
  220.  (plus sign, asterisk, rectangle, cross or hash). You can also 
  221.  set Marks speed.

  224. Text 
  225.  
  226. -Text option is a usefull option in painting programs. You can 
  227.  write a little stories to your pictures.

  230. Writing the Text 
  231.  
  232. -You have choosen text option and you are in the drawing scene.
  233. -Left button places a point where to start writing.
  234. -Return key puts you to next line. 
  235. -Backspace deletes previous sign.
  236. -If you want to take text off, then press right button.
  237. -When you have writen the text, by pressing left button you can 
  238.  move last line by mouse and place it with left button and with
  239.  right button you can go to write text again.

  243. Text size and font setting

  245. -You can see what is text like in right side of screen. Upper
  246.  arrows set the font and lower arrows set size.

  249. Angle

  251. -Angle option turns text angle. In this option you can write text 
  252.  for example upside down. Option gives you four different angle
  253.  (0,90,180,270) to choose.

  256. Carve

  258. -With Carve option you can copy,move and erase areas in the 
  259.  screen. First after you have chosen carve option, you have to 
  260.  choose, that do you want to copy,move or erase areas in the 
  261.  screen. After that go to OK and you are in the drawing scene.

  263. Copying areas with Carve option
  264.  
  265. -By pressing left mouse button you can put corner point of copying 
  266.  area. Then you can freely move the box. Right button frees the
  267.  corner point and If the corner point is not placed then by
  268.  pressing right button you can get back to menu. When the corner 
  269.  point is placed then by pressing left button again you can place 
  270.  the area to copy. After this you can move freely the area. Left 
  271.  button places the copy. You can, but as many copy as you want.
  272.  Right button returns you back to placing the copying area.

  274. Moving areas with Carve option.

  276. -Works same way as copy, but moves areas.

  278. Erasing areas with Carve option

  280. -Works same way as copy and move, but only erases areas

  283. Other Options

  286. Change Color

  288. -Changes colour. You can change colour by pressing left button
  289.  above arrows in place R,G or B. You get back to menu by pressing 
  290.  right button.
  291. -You can save and load palette with Save and Load. (Don`t try to 
  292.  load any other files than Royal Paint palette files.)   
  293. -Find gives you change to find a colour from drawing scene.

  296. Undo

  298. -Takes off everything you have done when you last time visited in 
  299.  drawing scene.

  302. CLS

  304. -Clears that scene, which is in use.

  307. Cycle

  309. -Rolls colors in options Plot, Draw, Spray and Mark. You can 
  310.  choose starting and ending color and also cycles speed. You get
  311.  back to menu by pressing right button. Cycle option makes also
  312.  possible the colourspray.

  315. Setting the patterns
  316.  
  317. -You can choose the pattern(37), which is in use by pressing left 
  318.  button above arrows. 
  319. -You can also pick up the pattern by pressing left or right button
  320.  above pattern box. This is the easiest way to pick the pattern.

  323. Setting Line type and size

  325. -Upper arrows set line type(6) and lower arrows set line size(20).
  326. -All line settings work also in Box, Rbox, Circle and Ellipse.

  328. Setting line starting and ending type.

  330. -Move the cursor above line setting place, but not above the 
  331.  arrows and press left button. Now you can set line starting and 
  332.  ending type. There are 3 different types (normal,rounded and 
  333.  arrow). 
  334. -All line settings work also in Box, Rbox, Circle and Ellipse.

  339. -Files option leads you second menu, which includes these options 
  340.  Load, Save, Delete, Make Directory, Show Free Memory, Drawing 
  341.  Scenes, Quit and Set.

  346. -Royal Paint loads these picture formats:

  357. -Saves pictures to Degas Elite format.

  377. -You have 2 different drawing scenes in half meg memory and 10 in 
  378.  one meg memory. You can load a picture to any drawing scene you 
  379.  want and you can save any drawing scene you want.

  384. -With quit option you can get out the program, but remember to 
  385.  save your works before quiting.

  390. -It`s another way to set Line, Plot, Spray, Mark and Pattern

  394. These are pretty much a fast instructions, but they will clear up 
  395. everything. And it`s easy to use Royal Paint if you have draw 
  396. with Degas Elite and still if you haven`t.
